This place has excellent Sushi and Japanese food. I recommend it all the time with a warning that the food is excellent but the service is terrible. Wait staff basically ignore you once food has been dropped on the table. Good luck getting a beverage refill or a replacement utensil.

Golden Rod is sometimes very good, sometimes not very good, never exciting, with standard Chinese dishes that could be more flavorful. But a good place for an inexpensive lunch.

Interesting variations on Asian cuisines. Wait staff seems to resent the customers.

Perfectly adequate pan-Asian, but it's worth the extra 15 miles to get the real thing in Flushing.
